She says “What matters most to me is building trust and offering reassurance. Court of Protection matters often involve sensitive family circumstances, and I take time to listen carefully, explain each step clearly, and approach every case with compassion.

My focus is always on protecting the individual at the heart of the matter while supporting families to find the best possible outcome.”

Emily’s career inspiration:

She says “I had been to court once in the past when I was 18 as part of a university trip. While this earlier visit partly inspired me to pursue a career in law, my recent visits to court have filled me with a new sense of pride and reminded me of how far I have come over the years. That feeling was affirmed when, instead of taking a seat in the public gallery as I had previously done as a student, I found myself seated on the solicitor’s bench, behind our client’s barristers.”

Outside of work Emily loves to go the gym, spend time with friends and family, trying new restaurants and walking her dog, Ralph. Fun fact, she achieved up to grade 5 in piano!
