Debt Recovery Prices

Where a case is dealt with by reference to our hourly rates, the following are applied:

• Grade A (Solicitor & Legal Executives with over 8 years’ experience) £288.00
• Grade B (Solicitor & Legal Executives with over 4 years’ experience) £247.00
• Grade C (Other Solicitors or Legal Executives and Fee Earners of equivalent experience) £200.00
• Grade D (Trainee Solicitors, Paralegals and other Fee Earners) £142.00

Plus VAT at 20% on each of the above.

Preparation, attendance, advocacy, travelling and waiting are all charged per hour or part thereof. Letters out and telephone calls are all charged per item.

In the event that you are successful and awarded a Defendants Costs Order, you will only have to pay the difference between the costs submitted at the above hourly charging rates and the amount subsequently paid by central funds following consideration of any Defendants Costs Order.

Disbursements are the costs payable to third parties such as experts. Occasionally we may seek to instruct an expert report and costs of any disbursements in respect of this will be in addition to the above.

We are here to help you and your business recover monies that are owed.

In some cases, we can offer a fixed fee structure where that debt is not disputed (for example, no Defence is filed, and we are able to proceed to requesting Judgement). Should the debt be in dispute and proceed as a Defended/Partly admitted claim, we would then need to discuss costs further with you and would look to agree a costs structure or limit in any matter.

It is likely any work then involved would be at our normal hourly charging rates outlined above unless otherwise agreed. We would not carry out any further work without prior agreement regarding costs should the claim become defended or part admitted.

Please note, that the above costs do not include any enforcement action, or enforcements fees and should it become necessary to have to take enforcement action then we can discuss those further costs and fees, with you at that stage.

Our fee includes:

• Attending upon you and taking initial instructions and reviewing documentation
• Sending a letter before action
• Receiving payment and forwarding onto you
• If payment is not received following the letter before action, drafting and issuing claim
• Where no Acknowledgment of Service or Defence is received, preparing the request for Judgement and applying to the Court for Judgment to be entered in default
• If payment is not received within 14 days of receipt of the Court Order providing you with advice on the available option, next steps and likely costs involved.
