Neil qualified as a Solicitor in 1998, however he joined Southerns as a trainee in 1996. Before joining the firm, he attended QEGS in Blackburn, studied Law at Bristol University and then Nottingham Law School.

Neil deals with serious criminal matters, regularly represents clients before the Mental Health Tribunal, and assists families in Inquest proceedings.

He holds several part-time roles including Assistant Coroner in Lancashire, Mental Health Judge and Deputy District Judge. He is also the Law Society’s Chief Assessor for the Mental Health panel.

Neil says the highlight of his career is being part of such a great firm. Outside of work he loves cooking, spending time with family and playing golf. In 2020 he represented Great Britain in the BMW Golf Cup in South Africa!
