As many of you may know, Jackie was the Finance Director here at Southerns Solicitors, based at our Burnley office, having previously been a partner at PMM Accountants for many years prior.
She had taken a short period of retirement and later joined Southerns in 2022.
Jackie began her career in finance in 1986, starting as a trainee accountant on a YTS scheme. Through dedication and expertise, she went on to become a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), building a highly respected career in the profession.
Outside of work, Jackie enjoyed long walks in the countryside with her dogs and had a passion for painting, particularly in oils. She also gave her time generously as a trustee and treasurer for the charity Mast Cell Action.
Jackie was diagnosed with cancer in 2024 and sadly passed away on Thursday 22nd January 2026, having celebrated her 58th birthday just the weekend before.
She leaves behind her loving husband Rob, her son Scott, daughter-in-law Megan and her granddaughter Mollie, along with her extended family.
Jackie was a valued colleague and a friend to so many across the firm. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
