Southerns are Proud to Support Ossyfest 2026

That’s a wrap on the 5th annual Ossyfest, and what a weekend it was!

Taking place from Thursday 6th to Sunday 9th August, Ossyfest brought four days of live music, community spirit and plenty of fun to Oswaldtwistle, with more than 19 venues and over 140 local musicians taking part.

Free Music Lessons for the Local Community

The festival raises money for Free Music Lessons CIC, a local organisation helping to give people in the community opportunities to learn, perform and develop their skills through music and performance activities. To date, they have provided more than 3,000 music lessons to the local community.

Last year, Ossyfest raised an incredible £23,000 for the charity, and we’re looking forward to seeing the final fundraising total for this year’s festival.

We’re proud to sponsor the Ossyfest Limited Edition Football Shirt

This year, we were particularly proud to support Ossyfest by sponsoring its limited edition football shirt, which completely SOLD OUT over the weekend!

The shirt takes inspiration from one of Oswaldtwistle’s most recognisable icons, the famous World’s Largest Pear Drop. Which weighs a whopping 585kg and can still be found on display at Oswaldtwistle Mills Shopping Village.

It’s a brilliant nod to the local area and a great reminder of what makes events like Ossyfest so special, they’re rooted in the community and bringing people, businesses and musicians together.

It was fantastic to see so many people enjoying the festival throughout the weekend, and we’re incredibly proud to have played a small part in supporting an event that gives back to the local community while raising money for such a worthwhile cause.

We’re proud to support events and organisations that create opportunities, bring people together and make a positive difference locally.

A huge well done to everyone involved in making Ossyfest 2026 such a success, from the organisers and volunteers (including, our very own Nicola Fitzhugh in our Private Client department), to the musicians, venues and everyone who came along and supported the festival.

We can’t wait to see what Ossyfest 2027 brings!
