Well, our team have absolutely smashed their “1000 miles in April” fundraising challenge to show their support and raise money for Pendleside Hospice.
We set them the challenge of walking, running, cycling or swimming a combined 1000 miles throughout the month, working together as a team to reach hit their target. Not only did everyone come together, but they also organised lunch time walks from the office, group weekend walks and they even got their families involved too.
Together the team have gone above and beyond, there was no stopping them – completing an incredible 1670 miles in April! (We may need to set a tougher target next time!)
A number of the team met up on Saturday 25th April for a 7-mile walk along the Tolkien Trail, in the Ribble Valley adding even more miles to the total. It was a beautifully sunny day, enjoyed in great company with colleagues (and a couple of four-legged friends), and rounded off perfectly with a refreshing drink at the Shireburn Arms.
We’re incredibly proud of the commitment and efforts they’ve shown. Through their pledges, the team have raised £215 for Pendleside Hospice. All the funds raised will contribute to our annual fundraising total, which we’ll announce at the end of the year.
Below are some photos of the team and their travels over the month.
