Southerns Team Takes on the Derian House Colour Run 2026
On Saturday 27th June 2026 some of the team, along with their families, took part in the Derian House Colour Run in Chorley, and we couldn’t have asked for better weather! From start to finish, it was an incredible day filled with laughter, colour and plenty of memorable moments.
We were in the first wave of runners, taking on the 1.5km course (we weren’t too sure what to expect). We were soon being showered in clouds of brightly coloured powdered paint at each station, with some of those colour stations definitely catching us by surprise, but it all added to the fun! The team had a great time and looked a right colourful bunch by the end of the run.
Together, the team raised an amazing £140 for Derian House.
Who are Derian House?
Derian House Children’s Hospice supports more than 400 babies, children and young people, along with their families, across the North West. They help families make the most of every precious moment by providing overnight stays, day care, holidays in their beautiful lodges, wraparound family support, end-of-life care and bereavement support.
Their care is provided completely free to families, but it costs over £6 million each year to run the hospice, with less than 30% of that funded by the government. That’s why fundraising events like the Colour Run are so important, helping ensure they can continue providing their incredible services.
An incredible £23,573.74 was raised by this year’s Derian House Colour Run!

A huge well done to everyone who took part and supported the event. We have a feeling this is going to become an annual tradition for the team, they’re already asking when they can do it all again!
